In Brackenwood Lodge<\/strong>, located in Lippitts Hill, in Epping Forest (England),<\/strong> Studio Kyson<\/strong> carried out the transformation of an antique farming barn into a contemporary home that engages with the surrounding landscape. The project departs from the reuse of an existing structure, reinterpreting its industrial character to adapt it to a new residential use, while at the same time respecting its natural environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The intervention is integrated within a wider proposal for landscape preservation and the improvement of biodiversity<\/strong>, recovering land that had remained abandoned for years and allowing architecture and nature to coexist in a balanced way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this project, two different kitchens are develope<\/strong>d, designed to respond to different moments of use within the house. Although they are situated in separate spaces, both are conceived under a shared language<\/strong>, seeking an aesthetic coherence that allows for continuity throughout. To achieve this, a composition of two carefully selected finishes is proposed, <\/strong>creating a dialogue with the materiality and chromatic palette of the space. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

On one hand, the Grain series<\/strong> introduces the presence of wood through a special finish selected by the designer,<\/strong> rigorously chosen so that the colour palette integrates precisely with the overall home.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, the Iron series with a Vintage finish<\/strong> is used in the base, wall and tall units. The presence of this material provides character and depth to the space, establishing a balance between the warmth of wood and the solidity of metal. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\"\"<\/a>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The result is two kitchens developed coherently throughout, where materials, finishes and architecture are integrated into a functional and visually balanced space,<\/strong> in harmony with the contemporary spirit of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The proposal opts for balanced compositions and a refined aesthetic, where materials and finishes reinforce the sense of continuity and calm that characterises the project. The result is a space that combines architecture, design and landscape<\/strong>, in harmony with the natural and sustainable character that defines Brackenwood Lodge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
